An update on the homeless couple from Sherry Marie Desloge. Please keep praying and if you can help, do so (James 2:14-17)! Hi everyone, well my computer has decided to stay connected to Internet today, Thankfully. Here is an update and all who desire to help some thoughts on what could help. 1) they are in a hotel for 2 weeks thanks to some generous dontaions to cities4life for the homeless couple. She is now 13 weeks and doing good, being seen by Myers Park Ob/gyn next appt. is Sept 19th. She is on a blood pressure medication. When I mentioned about the intensity at Latrobe on Sat. she said maybe I can tell my story. I told her the time will come for her to share (if she wants too) and we would love that. 2) Now they have shelter, meals would be great ( like the meal train or care calendar) 3) a little bit of cash is needed for when they go to interviews for jobs and to ride the bus and do laundry(at the hotel, 2 dollars to wash and 1.50 to dry) 4) any job offers you want to relay to me or them directly. They are very nice and would love to hear and /or visit with any of you. They are amazed at the love and generosity of coming alongside to assist them in their goals. They committed their lives to Christ a week ago Sunday and desire to be going to church (Steele Creek). 5) the emotional side of this has been very tramatizing but the couple are absolutely caring for one another. The father said to me the other day, "After all we have been through we would probably stay in the park then to be separated." Hopefully that wont have to happen. He has filled out about 20 to 30 apps. No interviews yet. 6) I am wonderously Blessed by God to stand back and watch what he does. The God Unity I have witnessed btw. churches and people is truly the Power of God. Praise His Holy Name- Forever and ever!!!!!! Feel free to email, fb post or call/text me. Blessings sherry Desloge
