Analysis of Ukrain Crisis from the lens of Bargaining aprroach West middling in the Internal affairs of UKrain by arousing popular pro Euro sentiments and pro democracy sentiments among ukrainins gave a chance to Putin to interfere and that costed Ukrain crimia.Now Russia when infiltrated Crimia it showed utter caution and preparedness which Russian military acquired from rising defence spending.In Retaliation west posted sanctions on Russia but in an incremental way which makes us to look at Bargaining approach as if thr is still bargaining going on among the national players.The theory can be extended in following ways 1.Incremental sanctions shows west presumes that sanctions will act as deterrent and will force Russis on negotiation. 2 The retaliatory sanctions of russia on USA officials shows that Russian is not in the mood of negotiation as it has acquired what it long wished for. 3 Russian sanctions also shows that in retaliation of incremental sanctions it is also ready to go in incremental way which eventually proves the second point. 4 From the power perspective here we can anlyse that Russia presumes itself in such a powerful position that ultimately it will win the bargaining game.Thr are four reasons for this. a.Russia already holds the key to Ukrain b.It already acquired what it wished and secured it. c.Chinese Pipe line and europe energy needs give him instantaneous pwerful position d.West failure to tap economic resources of Russia will ultimately make Russia more powerful 5.From the motivational purpose It can be easily assumed that , Putins repeated statements that he just wanted to safeguard his territory and ethinic rights gives a hint that he tries to play with the motivation of west (presuming that Russian expansion has created a ripple of furor among the west for possible futuristic conflicts) 6,From the players perspective it is quite clear that the two key players are USA and Russia, germany can play a decisive role for its closeness with Russia.regulated involvement of Ukrain in the decision making is also a visible fact.
