The All Progressive Grand Alliance – APGA primaries for House of Representatives scheduled to hold on 4th November, 2014 in Anambra State as Ogbaru Federal Constituency agreed to hold theirs at Holiday Resort Onitsha. The electoral committee composed of Owelle Mbaso – Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Political Matters and C Y Agupugo – Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Anambra State on Diaspora. However, the contestants were; Hon. Victor Afam Ogene, Deputy Chairman, House Committee on Media &Publicity and Rt. Hon Princess Chinwe Nwaebili, Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly. Arriving at about 5pm, the delegates looked towards a day like this to exhibit their civic duty as the party’s torch bearers. Afam and Chinwe looked well composed having done their homework in line with party precepts. The exercise which was well covered by men of the Police, men of the State Security Service and Independent National Electoral Commission officials and party faithfuls. At the appointed time, Owelle began to call names of the delegates who are to participate in their election and the ones present settled for the business of the day. After the exercise, Nwaebili defeated Ogene, clinching 59 votes, against Afam who got 16 votes.
