Anand Yogendra posted this article during the past week about this paper microscope that was developed at Stanford and its possible uses to help doctors in poor countries to more easily and cheaply perform microscopy in the field. I was intrigued, so, I researched past the article and presented my findings to our daughter. Somin has decided that this would be a Great Summer project. She is working on her hypothesis and experiment to present to the team at Stanford who are looking to give away 10,000 microscopes to ordinary people in all walks of life to help them write an open source users guide.
