Anatolian Winds The relentless winds of Anatolia sweep across the Turkish plains. Sometimes they whisper, sometimes they roar, But they are ever bearers of news. News of the bold warriors of bygone days, Carried by steeds whose hoofs beat the fertile earth, Echoing like the drums that once announced the arrival of Anatolias sons. News of fair maidens, who tilled the fields and plains, Until their beauty dissolved into the rich harvest brought forth, From Anatolian fields; Fields that stretch for miles until they too dissolve, Into the mysterious Anatolian sunset. The relentless winds of Anatolia sweep across the Turkish plains. Sometimes they whisper, sometimes they roar, But they are harbingers of better days. They tell us that like the proud children of Anatolia, Descendants of bold warriors and fair maidens, The children of Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine...
