Anatomy and Figure Drawing Classes Now Being Offered At The Winkler Gallery By Professional Painter Joshua Allen Wilson The ancient masters were most famous for their paintings depicting the human body rather than landscapes and still life. Why you may ask? Anatomy and figure drawing are both widely considered to be some of the hardest art forms in the world. The human body is so intricate and complex not only on the surface, but all the structures beneath the skin as well. This class will be centralized around the structures of human anatomy as well as the gestures and positions. You will learn how to draw bones, muscle and organs first because they are essential in correct proportioning. Once these have been mastered, the class will progress into figure drawing, portraiture, foreshortening and positioning. If you are a beginner or seasoned artist, these classes will help you to not only improve your artistic talents, but also increase your understanding on the anatomy behind that which you draw.
