And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his fathers sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear,and took a lamb out of the flock: David said, moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion,and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of the Philistine...(1 Samuel 17 vs 34,37). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional Today. In Todays Focal Scripture, David recounted his encounters in the bush. There was a time when a lion and a bear came against David,and God delivered him out of them. David faced a challenge and God came to his rescue. David was faced with an opposition that could cut short his life and destroy his sheep,and God saved him out of it. David was faced with a life and death situation,and God saved him. Notice that when Goliath came up,and David, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion,and out of the paw of the bear,He will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. David was simply saying that God has done it before,and God will do it again. The challenges may have been different, but for David, its the same God. Friend, when issues rise against you, just remember that the same God who came to your rescue in the past will rescue you again. When fresh troubles arise, just remember that God has saved you from trouble in the past. When a sickness arises, remember that God has healed you in the past. Always remember that the same God who is faithful in the bush is also faithful in the battle field. Beloved, God hasnt changed. His words are ever true. If He did it before, He will do it again and again. The Issues may change, but God remains the same. Jesus Christ the same Yesterday, and Today,and Forever(Hebrews 13 vs 8). Pray with me,Lord, my challenges may change,but I know you are the same God who helped me in the past. You will do it again and again in Jesus name.
