And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits Mark 6:7 How do people get by without friends? We all need friends and the support if those friends. Jesus sent the disciples out two by two because He knew how important it was to have someone to share with and to support. Standing alone, we feel like our strength is not really strength, but with someone by our side we have a boost, we have the necessary strength to do what we must do. One thing we have to remember the Bible also says in Proverbs 18:24 A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. So in order to have friends we must first be friendly. There are a lot of times in our life we need someone to confirm that what we believe in is true. That person that we trust can give us all the confirmation we need. But the thing we can be assured of is that Jesus is also right beside us, and He will never leave us nor will He ever forsake us. He is on the right Hand of God pleading our cause at every step. We sing an old hymn in church that goes like this “No one ever cared for me like Jesus, Theres no other friend so kind as He; No one else could take the sin and darkness from me, O how much He cared for me”. There are times when we find our self alone or what the world calls alone. But the good news is if we are a child of the King no matter what we will never be alone. And I don’t know about you but I like that. I have said this many times so much so people probably get tired of me saying it, but every time a doctor tells you that you are really sick, remember this “ for this I have Jesus” every time you find yourself in any kind of trouble remember “for this I have Jesus”.
