And He will be called Wonderful. Can you think of something or someone who is wonderful? I have heard people say my spouse is so wonderful. Or they will say this dessert is so wonderful. But how does one get the title of wonderful? Is it because of what they do or who they are? The answer may be it depends. Many times we base our appraisal of someone by how we define wonderful. A child may call his parents wonderful because they give them what they want. A husband may call his wife wonderful because she always doing nice things for him. But is that the same measurement for God? Why is God called wonderful? Read Psalm 107 today and see what the psalmist says. God is wonderful not only for what he does but also because of who he is. We may not always see Gods wonderful nature but all his actions for us comes from his loving heart. Just as a parent does not always give everything to their child so God only gives us what is truly good for us. We know this because God so loved the world that He gave. Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, {6 Or Wonderful, Counselor} Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
