And I know my redeemer liveth,He is the deliverer and restorer of His people. David was faced with a very tragic situation in his leadership where each one of his men desired to stone him to death,because their families had been taken by the enemy.There was nothing to explain to the people who were now looking at him as the causer of this tragedy because of his adventurous activities that brought all this misery.But David as was called and known by God as a man after His own heart he steadfastly held on God for a solution after weeping with all men and there was no answer forth coming.1 Samuel 30:1-8 Says And it came to pass,when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day,that the Amelekites had invaded the south,and smitten Ziklag and burned it with fire. And had taken the women captives,that were therein,they slew not any,either great or small but carried them away,and went on their way.So David and his men came to the City,and behold it was burned with fie,and their wives,and their sons,and their daughters,were taken captives.Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept,until they had no ore power to weep.And Davids wives were taken captives, Abinaom the Jezreelites,and Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite.And David was greatly distressed,for the people was grieved,every man for his sons and for his daughters,but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.And David said to Abiathar the priest,Ahimelechs son,I pray thee,bring me hither the ephod.And Abiathar brought thither the ephod to David.And David inquired at the Lord,saying,shall I pursue after this troop?Shall I overtake them ? And He answered him. Pursue for thou shalt surely overtake them, AND WITHOUT FAIL Recover ALL. It takes faith to encourage oneself in the Lord regardless of what had happened and was contrary to the word of God. But through the right practical steps taken and getting the appropriate word of God to PURSUE the enemy, David recovered all. You too shall recover whatever you had lost,only have faith in God.
