And I will give you shepherds according to My heart, who will feed you with knowledge and understanding. (Jeremiah 3:15) One of the most important gifts God gives every people is great leaders. There are two tests of a true pastor, shepherd, mentor or leader. First, they have the heart of God - are committed to and passionate about the things that matter to God. Secondly, they lead and guide their people or protégés with knowledge and understanding. When people are knowledgeable and understanding they become discerning and are empowered to climb from peak to peak till they reach their full, God-given potential.
