And....SECONDLEGRUNNERS PRE-RACE Second leg runners have the option of taking pre-race shuttles from Santa Monica to the Relay Exchange Zone. The shuttles pick-up in front of Santa Monica City Hall (1685 Main St, Santa Monica, CA) at 7:00 am and 7:30 am. Participants do not need a reservation as long as they have their race bib. Second leg runners can also get dropped off directly at the Relay Exchange Zone. The Runner Drop-Off Area is located at the intersection of Orange Grove Ave and De Longpre Ave. Participants should plan to arrive by 8:30 am. There is no transportation from Dodger Stadium to the Relay Exchange Zone. There is no Gear Check for second leg runners. RELAY EXCHANGE ZONE The Relay Exchange Zone is located on Sunset Blvd between Ogden Dr and Orange Grove Ave. Second leg runners should know the approximate time the first leg runner will take to run 13 miles. As the first leg runner approaches the Exchange Zone, the announcer will call out the last three digits of the first runner’s bib. The last three digits will match the second leg runner’s bib. POST-RACE Second leg runners will complete their leg at the Finish Line of the ASICS LA Marathon. Participants should continue walking to pick up their Relay Medal, mylar blanket, and post-race food and fluid. The Runner Secured Finish Zone is located on Ocean Ave and stretches from California Ave to Santa Monica Blvd. Only participants completing the race will be allowed into the Runner Secured Finish Zone. Once you leave the Runner Secured Finish Zone, reentry will not be permitted.
