And Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every ones bands were loosed (Acts 16 vs 26). God shook the foundations, and the chains on Paul and Silas were loosed. Every building is rooted in the foundation. So, the root of the building was shaken, and it took care of the chains.Dont we often focus on breaking chains rather than dealing with issues from their foundations. Sometimes, we focus more on the effect of a problem rather than focus on the root cause. Sometimes, we literally treat the symptoms of our issues rather than deal with the root cause. The foundation of a house is unseen, but chains could be seen. Sometimes, we focus on what we can easily see, forgetting the hidden issues that are behind what we see.Friend, God says, focus on the root cause of the issues that have kept you at a spot. If they are character issues that are responsible for the delays you are experiencing, deal with them. Pray that the Lord will open your eyes to the root causes of your challenges.Doing a window dressing might even make the issues more complex and complicated. Any challenge that is not rooted out properly will find its way back into your life.
