And all this while you thought God paid a hefty price to redeem you so you can approach Him with demands, pestering Him with requests mundane and senseless! When you seek God for cars, wife/husband, job, money, house, etc. for your selfish use, you seem to tell God may the ways and will of earth be done in heaven! Wrong order! How you should see yourself is like unto a steward who is given full responsibility to make a home liveable for the inhabitants. This home: Earth; the inhabitants: Humans. What God seems to be whispering impatiently to us is that, “You can do more, you can be more, you can get more fulfilment and honour. I can open you up to more prosperity but it is not in what you seek at the moment”. Let it dawn on you that we are not called to live for ourselves, what burden do you carry outside yours? Is someone’s welfare on your mind? Is apathy be-devilling your drive and motivation to make our government better? Do you give time to ponder on what that inner voice of reason within you is saying? LIVE BEYOND YOURSELF…BEYOND YOUR NEEDS…BEYOND THE WORRIES…GRAB THE SUBSTANCE OF LIFE AND LET GO THE SHADOWS THAT IGNORANCE OFFERS.
