And another question. :-) This is one of those that I have a feeling the answer will be no, but I have to try. (And if the answer is yes, I might cry. Lol.) I have an old, like at LEAST 1970s, if not much earlier electric, what Ive always called, grandfather clock. It belonged to my grandfather, & I remember it being in his condo when I was younger. Its not really a grandfather (no pendulum), but it is about 6 ft tall and has shelves in it. I havent tried plugging it in in FOREVER, but according to my mom, when plugged in last (maybe late 80s or early 90s), you could tell it was getting power, but the motor was louder than it should have been. I cant remember the sound she described, but it was either clicking or grinding. Ive spoken to a friend that knows and collects clocks, & he said they were original to the 30s and 40s, just from how I described it. I dont know, but Im betting that if its THAT old, it probably needed a motor replacement long ago. Possible? I dont care if I have to wait for parts to be ordered at this moment, & if this would be doable, I know of a Christmas present from my husband that would literally put this girl over the moon. Thanks!
