"And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes - TopicsExpress

"And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, paid tithes in Abraham." (Hebrews 7:9) It is very instructive to note from the scripture above that the tithe paid by Abraham was credited to Levi…….with Levi reaping the benefit of Abraham’s obedience. It therefore follows to a very large extent that whatever we do have a way of affecting the destiny of our children and generations after them. When you look at the life of David, you also see this trend. His obtained an eternal promise from God to establish his throne forever. His children also benefited, in a negative sense, from the consequences of his escapade with Bathsheba. There are a whole lot of implications to this and a whole lots of ways to look at this but the message for today is that we can influence the destiny of our children by the choices we make today. Remember, a good parent leaves a positive inheritance for his children and grand children. The inheritance you leave behind, good or bad, is your choice and is a consequence of your actions/inactions today.
