And as if the gifts those two aforementioned artists werent enough, thanks to the beautiful world that is the community of musicians in Nashville, every artist you encounter leads you to discover their friends and cowriters. The first artist I mentioned is the reason I know the second, who is the reason I discovered these two. Theres a fairly big piece of my story I havent written up for public consumption and wont here, other than to say that it led to some paralyzingly fear the very few times in my life Ive actually dated anyone. Actually that huge fear was a mystery to me until that second artist and his incredible body of work created a space where I could break down the brick wall that had stood for years between me and what hat fear was about. Anyway, this project here, a collaboration of two fantastic artists who got together to make this sound thats different from either of their solo work, because the world needs more shameless joy, as Trent put it, has indeed brought that to my life. This song has brought deep healing to that place where my paralyzing fear has lived for so many years. Yall ... Pay attention to what you love in the world. Music, art, TV, movies, books, sports, work ... Whatever it is that youre drawn to, Im discovering that it will bring you what you need to heal your heart.
