And back down the FCC/Net Neutrality-road we go. This topic is coming to a head in the next 24 hours. Im going to ask you, once again, to take a free second to stand up for free-speech and a neutral Internet. Just wrote this to the FCC: The number of times I and many others have written this message is now bordering sickening. Not because its another web form that were filling out...no - not by a long shot. Its because we live in a world where our corporate and political leaders feel this is the biggest issue to fix...to combat our free-speech...that, to them, is priority #1. Forget all the scandals in political office...forget massive world issues like feeding and clothing the poor (from countries WE as privileged nations have exploited)...or the countless, repetitive, cyclical wars that are constantly raging... No. The most important issue is their control over our right to free-speech, free-thought, and the platforms that allow for those basic human rights. We cant meet in public anymore (thats protesting), we cant meet in secret (thats conspiracy)...the last place anyone on this Earth has to FREELY communicate how they feel about their world - is the Internet. FCC - I urge you to rethink your position and motivations here. I hate to remind you, but youre the FEDERAL Communication Commission...Federal being the operative word. Federal meaning by extension...an office as a VOICE of the people, in a certain topic area...such as in your case communication. The PEOPLE dont want their right to free-speech destroyed. The PEOPLE like the Internet just how it is. It is your job to be the ACTION of the PEOPLE, to our VOICE. Do whats right. Free-speech is not a commodity...its not a corporate or political plaything or item to be bought, sold, or traded. It is a concept older than our modern civilization...and as such - it worth much more than the paper currencies invented by our modern civilization.
