“And everything is possible with God.” I love how these words are sprinkled throughout Dr. Wayne Dyer’s book, ‘I Can See Clearly Now’ as I too can see clearly now that there are no accidents or coincidences; God has everything under full control! I’m in Nigeria now and still amazed how I saw that calendar (on the wrong date) in Florida, when I couldn’t make up my mind whether or not I should relocate my family to a country where there were constant reports on CNN of violence including bombings. After months of asking God, ‘Should we go or not go?’ I suddenly felt a KNOWING that God spoke to me through a calendar that said, “You shall go to a land flowing with milk and honey.” I was so sure about it that I sent a text to my husband, who was in Nigeria at the time, telling him that this was our confirmation from God that our entire family should make the move to Nigeria! BTW -That’s the wait and listening part before making a move that Oprah Winfrey talks about! Before our move, my husband was flying back and forth between the US and Nigeria and it wasn’t good for us as a family. And I’m positive that it’s no coincidence that my favorite all-time favorite Pastor Joel Osteen sermon is the one entitled, ‘Fight For Your Family’. I love this sermon so much that I ordered copies of it to share with married friends. When I saw that my marriage was on shaky ground, I realized it was time for me to fight for my family! And going to Nigeria would be the first battle move! (Don’t mess with my family!) It was all a part of God’s plan to get me here, I’m sure! I can see clearly now that my simple life in Nigeria (not driving, no TV, no electricity 50% of the time) put me in the space to begin writing these crazy posts every day and to meet a friend here who has had such a strong influence on me. I can see clearly now that she too has been a part of my training as a writer. Her calmness and example of being the best wife, mother and person has inspired me greatly.
