And for the first time since the institution of the good/bad scale, I am going to call this a bad day to be a gondolier. It is unfortunate, because we do have a number of trips scheduled for today, and hopefully things will clear, which is always possible when they call for scattered showers, but 60% chance of rain in Providence is usually an indicator of some sort of precipitation on its way. It is a relatively quiet weekend in the city, but there are a number of interesting events, including Bowling For Rhinos at Roger Williams Park and Zoo, and the terrific Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra performing Beethoven piano concerto Number 1 this evening at Veterans Memorial Auditorium. HOPEFULLY there will even be gondola trips in the city tonight...we shall see!
