“And he arose, and went into the house; and he poured the oil on his head, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I have anointed thee king...” (2 Kings 9: 6). That is the Focal Scripture of Streams of Joy Devotional today. In our Focal Scripture, Jehu was anointed with oil. According to Exodus 30 vs. 22-25, one of the ingredients of the anointing oil is ‘Myrrh’. Myrrh is a preservative. So, Jehu was anointed with the oil of preservation; he was anointed to survive against all odds; he received the anointing to stop him from expiring. Friend, God says, you have the anointing for preservation, and your destiny will be preserved. Your future will be preserved; your family, marriage, ministry, health, joy, and testimonies will be preserved; your next level, opportunities, finances, career, business, etc will be preserved; your life will be preserved. When something is preserved, it cannot spoil or decay or deteriorate. God says, the power of decay and deterioration is broken in your life; you wont depreciate or lose value; your future wont suffer loss; everything that God has given you will be intact, nothing missing, nothing broken. Jehu needed to be preserved because there were battles he would later face after becoming king of Israel. God says, because you have the anointing for preservation, no battle will consume you, no enemy will have the upper hand in your life, no adversity will reduce you, no weapon fashioned against you will prosper and no plan of the enemy against you will succeed. God will preserve you in all your ways. Renew Gods anointing on your life by remaining dedicated and committed to God.
