Jesus would never ask us to give all that we have and die. Jesus is teaching His disciples here about how evil the religious leaders were in that day. They ignored the Old Testament mandates set forth by God to take care of widows and instead to pad their pockets would devour widows houses. Jesus never says anything about this womans motivation or even if she is a believer. This teaching IS about how religious leaders are NOT supposed to be greedy and selfishly take someones last dollar. True Christians are to care for the needy!
