And here is my Skyrim character! Name: Markus Ghostshadow Race: Nord Age: 21 Height: 6’2’’ Weight: 120 lbs Hometown: Riften Occupation: Master thief History: Markus Albus, better known by his alias Markus Ghostshadow, was born to a poor family during the climax of the Great War between the Empire and the Thalmor. Growing up surrounded by chaos, Markus quickly came to the conclusion that he was better off not getting involved in the political struggles of his elders – or even caring, for that matter. But given the critical circumstances surrounding the war, there was only one way to avoid getting involved: staying out of sight. And sure enough, by the age of 12 Markus was an accomplished sneak capable of laying low and remaining undetected by the public eye. But with this newfound ability came unique opportunities – namely thievery. It all began when an Imperial camp settled just outside of Riften, carrying with them a great deal of gold coins. And Markus, now orphaned as a result of his parents’ untimely deaths in the war, was presently doing basic pick-pocketing and break-ins just to get by – but upon learning of the camp, he spotted an opportunity to get himself out of his rut and start a new life. In the dead of night, Markus slipped into the Imperial camp undetected, and managed to swipe the entire gold reserve that the Empire had brought to Riften… but as he prepared to make his escape, an Imperial general spotted him. Fortunately Markus was lucky enough to get away, but the ordeal left his face scarred and his left eye blinded. As Markus matured, he developed a reputation for being able to sneak into establishments and rob them with not so much as a witness to his actions. He became an infamous thief, and was greatly feared throughout Tamriel as one of the finest in his line of work. He could loot pockets out in the open, pick even the tightest lock, and slip into even the best-guarded facilities and walk out with all their riches. It seemed that nothing could stop his reign of terror… that is, until one fateful run-in with the Empire. Ironically, on the one day that he was arrested, the Empire wasn’t even looking for him. He was apprehended by mistake during the mission, but the Imperial captain waiting for the prisoners at Helgen recognized and condemned his life. Right as he was about to be executed, however, a dragon swooped in and disrupted the event, giving Markus enough time to vanish into the shadows once again…
