And here is the other one....Again my apologies I let you all down on an important event day....:-( .... Good Morning Everyone and a Blessed Memorial Day to each of you. Today is Memorial Day. All across America today there will be ceremonies and celebrations honoring those that have, since the American Revolution, given their all to keep America free. From the Old North Bridge of Concord, MA, to Gettysburg, PA, to Flanders Field of France, to Normandy, France, to Iwo Jima, to Pork Chop Hill, Korea, to The Iron Triangle, South Vietnam, to Ramadi, Iraq, and to Kandahar, Afghanistan, countless Americans have given their all for Freedom and Liberty around the world. They took the banner of Freedom, Old Glory with them and raised it high for all the world to see. They fought and died to bring freedom to so many people and to show them what freedom truly is. Though it cost them their very lives, they held that banner high. It is to these men and women, that we as Americans, owe our greatest debt. It is because of them, that we are free to worship as we please, come and go as wish and enjoy the liberties and freedoms we so very often take for granted. A young patriot, only twenty one years of age, was hanged September 22, 1776, for standing up for his country and his beliefs. Just before he was hanged, he made the following statement: I only regret that I have but one life to give for my country. That young patriot was Nathan Hale. He knew he was going to die, yet he made his statement and then gave his all for his country, liberty and freedom. He exemplified in his statement and in the giving of his life, what we, as Americans, are all about. Today is the day we honor all of them. To give thanks to them and remember their sacrifices for all of us. In the words of Harry Truman, which are inscribed at the WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. is this quote: Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid. They have earned our undying gratitude. America will never forget their sacrifices. I pray that what he stated there will continue to hold true for future generations. So today, let us go out and honor those that gave their all to keep us free. Say a prayer, place a flower, leave a Thank You note, and remember these brave souls and the deeds they did. God Bless You All and God Bless America. Thank You...
