And heres the rant for the day: While Im not one who participates in the Thankful on FB days of November trend, I am most certainly thankful, every day, for so many things, small to great. That said, while we all have some rough days, it gripes my ever-loving last nerve to see ppl who just status update to complain & moan. Have no money? Well, youre on your fb, which means you obviously have, at minimum, a phone &internet capability. How about you consider those who CANT call home because they literally dont have a phone (gasp!) or even have someone to call? Now, how about the families that are in such hard times, no money to them literally means no money = no home, no food, no medicine?!? Please, help me understand how your situation is so tragic?!? Is there no roof over your head, food in your belly, and family underfoot? Heres my suggestion: in the time it takes you to think about what you want to complain about NOT having...STOP & look around yourself. I guarantee at a minimum, theres at least 5 things you can find in under 5 seconds to be THANKFUL for, including the fact that youre blessed enough to be here for another day w/your children, grandchildren, friends. Not everyone has the same today, remember that. I am willing to empathize & share compassion w/anyone going through difficult times. What I cannot abide by, is getting oneself stuck in an ungrateful, victim mentality. I promise, if you just learn to be thankful for the smallest of things, you will find yourself more abundantly blessed than you ever thought possible. And naturally, you will begin to find that life really isnt so bad after all. In fact, its simply amazing! Someones always going to have it worse, pray for them that they find the blessings you have experienced! Okay, that was my novel. And on that note, thank you Jesus, for giving me another day. With my family, friends, adventures & all!
