And it is shameful that in the year 2014 agricultural industry leaders like Sakuma Bros Berry Farm fell so easily into this established oppresive pattern. The supervisors at Sakuma Berry Farms actually said that indigenous workers from Mexico liked picking strawberries bent over because they are so short. And the supervisors while being Mexican are not indigenous and they are taller lighter skinned Michoacanos and Texans, and oh yes their boss of all the supervisors and all the indigenous workers is white and even taller! He towers over them all with a threatening scowl whenever the workers ask for a better wage and treatment!
