And its nothing to do with Anja anymore the reasons why I want to be a singing graduate. I am interested in voice and I want it for myself. Im quite a good coloratura singer and I was when I was 17 hence the place at GSMD. Its not to beat anyone else to the job its a professional interest and is to be encouraged to improve all round musicianship as a composer. I dont understand why people round here dont want to get it out of themselves as much as the people I met at college. There is always this dellitantish pride that we have in England that you should never be too good at music and its not rocket science a lot of it is just work. I know plenty of people whove got musical genius working at it, but it helps if you have natural talent. My natural talent is for writing it because Ive always ha d the skill, ambition and application in that field in me and the genius for writing classical music is finally coming out. I dont have enough experience at writing pop really, but the ambition I had with it; my first piece was an attempt at a Requiem mass for example, but I love singing. Singing is something Ive acquired from doing so much of it and I love playing now as well. Im good at that, wish Id started on the piano at six because I would have made it at world level if I had I know I am that good.
