And last but not least I also managed to catch the Basic Novice Couples FD at the Murrayfield Opens yesterday. This was won by Clare and Tom Whalley representing Sheffield with a score of 11.23. They skated with good unison, a nice maturity and performed lovely lifts but unfortunately received no score for their midline step sequence. In 2nd place were Amelia Darling and Oliver Gibson representing Widnes with a score of 7.55, decked out in striking orange and black. They too received no mark for their midline step sequence. Competition continues at the Murrayfield Opens with the free skating Competitions. Tomorrow and Monday I hope to bring you news of the Junior and Senior SP and FP Competitions.
