And no one knew..........I went to the grocery store this weekend and stopped at the magazine rack....I had not done so in a few months. I spotted an Oklahoma Game and Fish magazine...and a great friend of mine was a full time writer for them. So I looked at the story index and there it was.......Oklahomas early Archery Bucks....written by my friend Mike Lambeth.....A story Mike wrote about a hunt last fall. Early in the year Mike told me about this hunt...and the ranch it took place on. Hr was always full of good stories...some I was with him in. Mike departed this earth mid spring... on assignment doing what Mike did.....writing outdoors stories....he loved it too. I read that story in the grocery store...it was as Like he was re telling it to me. A tear puddled in the corner of my eye as I realized this was probably Mikes last story. A moment later a warmth enveloped me and I began to smile. I looked around to see if anyone had seen me reading...all in the same time feeling like Mikes legacy was still going strong....I smiled again..........and nobody knew..... Miss you buddy.
