And now a few words about FB friend requests: You know how sometimes I write things on FB which make you just want to strangle me with your bare hands ? Just choke the life out of me ! Believe me, I understand. Im not exactly sure why I do that. Theres this crazy part of me which never leaves me alone. Usually I write these things to get a reaction out of you, perhaps to generate discussion of some sort, or to incite laughter. Fortunately, most of you, especially those who know me, cut me some slack and, if I make you mad, you let me slide. On the other hand, some of you actually go to the extreme of unfriending me ! What ! Are you kidding me ?!! The ultimate FB insult !!! Why, you upstart !!!!! Now I realize you have every right to cut me loose, and I fully understand and sympathize with you. But it just seems that a high percentage of those who unfriend me later on somehow seem to have a change of heart and then send me another, second, friend request. I guess you must miss me. Well, let me make myself perfectly clear. Once you have unfriended me, at least in my eyes, you have passed from this earth. Youve died and youve gone to FB heaven. Of course, because youve unfriended me, youre probably in FB hell, at least thats what I wish upon you. Just joking ! Oh, come on !!! In any event, I hope youre happy, wherever you are. Peace be with you. Oh, and one more thing. If you send me a fresh FB request and I either dont know you, or vaguely might know you, I really need your request to come with some sort of private message for me to accept. Doesnt have to be anything detailed. Just, Hey Phil, I know you from 30 years ago. Remember me ?. Or Phil, I dont know you, and weve never met, but Ive seen some of your stuff on FB. Simple.
