And now, another edition of Small Town News... Two heaters were reported stolen from a house under construction in the 600 block of Fern Avenue March 20. No value for the items was provided. Someone threw stain on a driveway of a house under construction in the 100 block of Kenmore Street March 20. The stain was 8- by 12-inches in size. No estimate of the value of the damage was provided. Someone spray-painted letters on a light pole March 19 in the 700 block of Van Auken Street. A 40-year-old Riverside woman was charged with battery March 20. She was being prepared for release from a hospital and bit an employee who was trying to remove her IV. Two Hinsdale Central students, a boy from Naperville and a girl from Clarendon Hills, both 16, were cited March 11 for fighting in the high school, 5500 S. Grant St.. .The girl reportedly first struck the boy in the face with her hand, and then the boy then punched her twice. No injuries were reported. A 17-year-old from Willowbrook was issued a citation for truancy March 5. He was absent from Hinsdale Central High School without permission. A 26-year-old Franklin Park man was charged with illegal dumping. He, and another man, dumped drywall behind a vacant building in the 600 block of north York Street. The other man, a 49-year-old from Franklin Park, was found to be wanted on a traffic warrant from Glen Ellyn and on a bond deportation warrant from Immigrations and Customs Enforcement. A 44-year-old Elmhurst man was charged March 20 with not having a valid drivers license and driving without headlights during a traffic stop at North Avenue and Elm Street.
