And now, my theory about the movie TOMORROWLAND. Three words: TOMORROWLAND IS EPCOT. Not EPCOT, the theme park as we know it today, mind you. Not the big bloated under-visited theme park where they have to build a Frozen ride just to attract people. No. This is a movie about what EPCOT could have been. This is a movie that imagines an alternate universe where Walt Disney opened EPCOT exactly as he imagined it, and it was allowed to flourish and prosper and evolve with THAT LEVEL of constant ambition for fifty years. In the trailer, youll notice the girl has a FLORIDA drivers license. And according to plot synopses, the closing of Cape Canaveral is a plot point. Even if thats not TECHNICALLY what this movie is about, their design of the place has early EPCOT concept art coursing through its veins. Either way...the line for this movie starts behind me.
