And now, some personal news: My Pathfinder table is full at Comic Quest, so I am effectively set. I will be playing a fighter. Im looking forward to meeting my new friends and adventuring with them. Pathfinder Society games are, I have been told, more action oriented than a regular homestyle game would be. Thats all right by me. Honestly, if you were to have a mental picture of how I feel, youd see me rolling dice over and over and glancing at the calendar like its supposed to be a second hand. I am *really* excited. Also, the good folks on the Southern California Pathfinder Society page have been gregarious, kind, and accommodating. I feel welcomed and encouraged. This is not unexpected, because my experience has taught me that RPG players tend to be a friendly, good-natured lot. My very best friends when I was a teen were the guys who introduced me to D&D (and the joy of seeing The Rocky Horror Picture Show at a traditional midnight showing). Tragedy cut things short for us, but their kindness has stayed with me to this day and will likely live on forever. I cannot begin to adequately express how much this really means to me. Not that theres some expectation pressure put on my new gaming comrades; not at all. It just means a lot to me, personally. We know where we belong when were with the right people. Me, I do quite well with metalheads and RPG players and their close kin. Always have.
