And she asked me, do you believe in miracles. I replied, ofcourse I do!. But it dawned on me sooner that she didnt ask because she wanted to know if I actually believe in miracles. Afterall, miracles occur everyday. Its like asking, do you believe that hunger comes as a result of not eating?. She wanted to know if I believed in extraordinary wonders that that are performed to prove the authenticity of a greater Being- God. Its funny how people look down on the little and subtle miracles in our lives because they crave for miracles that get public attention. So is raising the dead back to life greater than not dying atall? Or healing a protracted illness is more miraculous than not falling sick atall? For me, miracles are the daily showers of Gods grace on every soul- the fact that I am alive, the fact that despite the harsh weather conditions, the flowers still blossom, the fact that your pet strayed out of your apartment and it came back, safe from the wheels of on-going vehicles. True, that the blind can now see, or the barren can now be full, or a finacial inbalance has been made stable are a cause for joy, yet, we should learn to acknowledge those daily blessings that has kept us until the moment of witnessing victory over our biggest worries. Life itself is a great miracle. For without it, the deaf would leave deaf, and the barren would leave childless, the finacially unstable would leave poor, and the spiritually handicapped would leave without the spiritual growth. The miracles in our lives are not just the mysterious tales of victory in our setbacks or problems, spread through the mass media. They include also the little, wonderful touches of Gods love guiding us time after time, through subtle disasters and temptations. If one is entirely grateful, he should know that no miracle is greater than the other. Every single miracle in our lives is a mirror of Gods love. And its reflection is who we are! I believe in miracles because I see the love of God in you............ I love you all so much from the depths of my heart. Goodnyt!
