And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped Him in - TopicsExpress

And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped Him in swaddling clothes and laid Him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn. .......................Luke 2:7 Plain and simple, Mary, Joseph and an unborn child were turned away when they needed to be helped the most. Instead of sanitary conditions they were given the worst of conditions. Instead of compassion they were given unconcern. Instead of expressing excitement to witness and hear the cries of new birth they made sure the sounds of pain and new life were out of ear range. Though as it was, what they turned away that night wasnt just a man, his pregnant wife, and the experience of new life, but was a gross refusal of a once in a lifetime experience to never be repeated ever again. Their hardness caused them to miss what kings would fight wars to see, making the eyes and ears to behold and witness the most miraculous and blessed event to ever take place in the history of the world to be those of the animals. Its probably safe to say that most dont believe the animals would have known the difference, but here at His Reminders we beg to differ. Because if Jesus had pointed out to His adversaries when they demanded that He quiet the praising crowd as He walked by saying; If they keep quiet, the very stones will cry out!, then without a doubt our four legged friends sang out praises loudly when they witnessed the birth of the Son of God. We cant help but now smile and wonder if the praising was so great that the other guests didnt get such a great nights sleep after all. We do believe though that after the loud and glorious praises of Gods creations echoed across the countryside, peaceful sounds of humble worship beautifully followed, blessing all. Even those who were oblivious to what they turned away. That is the kind of God we serve. It would have been an amazing sight to hear and see! So lets be reminded of how our Lord entered this world, not with grandeur and opulence surrounding Him, but how He came in this world in the worst of conditions and rejection from day one, and how none of it stopped His glory from ruling. In fact it was those very conditions that made His glory shine even greater and brought us the Lamb of God! Lets be reminded how wonderful it is that He can use our oh so troubled lives to do the very same. ................................................................................ He never left Himself without a witness; there were always His reminders. .................Acts 14:17 Living Bible . hisreminders.org
