And so I bid farewell - or will tomorrow morning - to the little - TopicsExpress

And so I bid farewell - or will tomorrow morning - to the little house where Ive been living for a month, by the kind generosity of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and the Hosking Houses Trust. Its been a month of poeting, editing, mentoring, workshopping and very magical moments. Thanks so much to Marion Fleetwood, Paul Edmondson and Jonathan Davidson for inviting me, to Sarah Hosking for providing me with such a fantastic home, and to those friends who were able to visit. Above all, to the army of 52-ers who picnicked in the sunshine and made it so memorable. Its been lovely to have limitless hot water and a garden heavy with the scent of roses, with a river at the bottom of it to swim in, and chickens providing me with oodles of omelettes. But home is elsewhere. Tinker and I are reunited tomorrow - she has been in the kind hands of the Avon Navigation Trust for a month. Three cheers for floors that move and a home that smells faintly of diesel, and for able crewpersons Alan Buckley and Robbie Burton who are my first crew as we start to travel the River Avon.
