It definitely has better pacing and character development than in Book 1: Air, however the villain Unalaq isnt very original (he looked exactly like Tarrlock from Book 1. A redesign wouldnt have hurt), but at least the action sequences are as dazzling as ever (I wish I was an Earthbender). The spirits looked awesome too. Its great that they got Stephen Yeun (Glenn from The Walking Dead) to voice Wan, the first Avatar, whose backstory that spans two episodes has to be the highlight of this season, next to the proud return of a familiar character from the original series. Overall, Book 2: Spirits is an improvement to Book 1: Air and worth the viewing for fans of Avatar, 4.5 out of 5. I look forward to Book 3!
