And so the safe seat of Lowan continues.....my day began at 5:38am as I prepared for another outdoor office day. Actually it was more a mobile office day beginning with the delivery of how to vote cards to Pimpinio, Murra Wurra & Dimboola followed by an hour long stint at Nhills polling booth. I travelled roads Id never travelled as I ventured to check how things were going at Jeparit then onto Rainbow where thankfully, next to the polling booth was a cake stall (that was my pot of gold) organised by some Rainbow College students some of whom recognised me from a visit to their school a couple of years ago. They also had an art exhibition next door so in I went and was completely blown away with the talent of the Year9/10 students. After lunch I made my way back to Horsham via Antwerp, visiting volunteers working in the heat. With polling finished I spent time with my family who had lots of polling booth stories to tell. The day came to a close with a trip to Balmoral, via Toolondo to enjoy a meal at the Western Hotel with Katrina, her family & supporters and back home again. I was inspired by so many scenes & landscapes today as well as coming across 2 interesting road signs...Horsedip Rd & Miss Williamsons Rd. Rural Australia! We really do live in the lucky country! Heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported the #itsaboutLOWAN campaign! A new chapter in the book begins!
