And so they are wed. Congratulations and all my love to you guys. A big welcome to Bryan, who is forever now a member of this nutty family. I gain another son and Paul a brother. Jackie and Bryan wanted to have the event at City Hall and follow it with lunch a couple blocks away at the legendary London Chop House. The day couldnt have been more Detroit. City Hall, the Chop House, then the ride home taking Woodward through Downtown decked out in Christmas lights (a big DEE-TROIT version of Rochesters annual twinkle fest). I just have to say, the Chop House was simply the best. The food and the service probably the best Ive experienced. Anywhere. Felt like we were treated like the old Hollywood stars that once hung out here and made it the place to be. As they say, the ambiance was everywhere! They even had an old-school fancy sit-down pay telephone booth (indoors!), where the light comes on when you close the bifold door. Probably the only land line in town. And thanks to Lauren and Steve and Godsbrother (aka Godmother) Julie for everything they did to make Jackie and Bryans day. I managed to miss the opportunity to toast the newlyweds; Im pretty good at missing opportunities. The Zombies the bartender made for me didnt help me remember...anything, so I guess this little note will have to do. All my love to you both (and Dawson)(...and Jerr-bear) and Merry (First) Christmas!!
