And that concludes another fantastic Impress Me Monday here at Life Beyond the Hamper. Thanks for participating...it gives me something to look forward to on Mondays!! Lets dive right on in and talk about what we had going on in the kitchen tonight, shall we? There was a tie tonight for 3rd place...Katherine Romeo and Chantelle Chase bringing home the pretend bronzes. I give a major shout out to Katherine, who accidentally stumbled upon this Mexican Goulash hit with her family. She basically throws anything and everything Mexican-like onto a plate, tops it with sour cream, and calls dinner DONE folks. We could all learn a lesson or two from her...good job Katherine! Chantelle managed to take some time out of her BIRTHDAY supper to snap a picture of her meal and post it up here. I am honored Chantelle! Happy Birthday to you my friend, may it be the best year yet. For those of you wondering what she had for her special dinner, well I will tell you!! She had sort of a Mexican-American blend of goodness....taco bowls topped with steak FRIES. Thats right, Chantelle had it HER way...it is her BIRTHDAY and she is allowed to eat her fries any which-a-way she wants. Apparently, she wants them on top of a taco bowl. LOL! Ive never had them like that, but I admit, I am now considering it. ;) Second place tonight goes to a fellow NC local, Corie Ann Walston! Congrats Corie on your pretend silver medal. Pictures are always appreciated over here on my page, and I especially liked yours. She whipped up some toasted egg salad sandwiches for her crew. Not only did her eggs look perfectly cooked, but that bread was perfectly toasted. I notice things like that. Good job Corie, I am impressed!! It was EGGcellent!! And, finally, we get to our grand prize winner. Congratulations goes out to Stephanie Post on her virtual gold medal prize. I can see it shining around your neck so brightly all the way over here Stephanie!!! Stephanie went all out tonight in her kitchen, slaving over the stove to crank out this delectable meal of meatloaf, roasted cauliflower, green beans, and mashed potatoes. There was one more thing on her plate that she failed to mention, but I was all over that picture and totally noticed it. BUTTER....and TONS of it. BUTTER is almost as good as BACON, almost. I see BUTTER on the potatoes and I am pretty sure on the green beans. Way to bring down the nutritional value a little on those beans...I mean, being green should be enough, right Stephanie? That plate could give Paula Deen a run for her money with all that BUTTER...and I couldnt be more impressed!!! Great job everyone!! Sending you lots of love tonight from behind the rim of my tea glass... -the Laundry Fairy
