And that was the season that was........................ Last night a small but passionate crowd of Hawks enjoyed the annual presentation dinner to wind up the 2014 season. The food was magnificent and the speeches well delivered. The pride everyone in the room had for the Narembeen Football Club was obvious. The winners were worthy and the beer was cold. 2014 will go down as a tough one off the field for the Hawks, with the rec centre redevelopment, but another successful one on it. The Ressies were so dominant in their Grand Final win that it will surely be talked about for years to come. They were hard and tough when it mattered and slick and skilful when it counted. The League side returned to the finals and played a final in a manner that should also be recalled and recalled often. Undermanned going in then further during the Hawks pushed the eventual premiers all the way. Credit must go to all coaches, players and administrators for keeping the Hawks as a powerhouse of the EDFL.
