And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon Him”. Luke 2:40 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”. Isaiah 9:6 We have just experienced the recognition of what we have considered to be the birth of Jesus Christ in a loving, warm, caring and giving celebration known as Christmas. Most certainly there is such love, care and warmth in the air during this time; absolutely like no other time of the year. Yet, there are many who have taken advantage of this time to commercialize it into a time of making money. Much like the money changers did in the temple of God in Matthew 21:12. To the point that the real and true meaning and understanding of the Christ Celebration –Christmas - has been taken out of context and into an aura of what men has caused it to be for their own benefit. To the point that many find themselves stressed, out of sorts, with an impeding feeling of obligation rather than a true love, care and heartfelt giving and receiving. This season has waned into a sort of façade of the truth and reality of the Christ Celebration. His birth was the greatest Gift ever given to all of humanity, by its Creator God: “For God so loved the world that He gave..”, He gave “His only begotten Son…” the only person at the time of His incarnation that possessed ‘God Life’. All, from the fall of Adam and Eve, have been born into the death of sin. Now, God’s only Begotten Son has come incarnate to be born just as we, His Creation, except that Jesus Christ was born without sin as Mary was impregnated of the Holy Spirit of God. Yet, He came as a child of common parents and family, people who labored hard in their life and honest in their dealing. He had no extra favor in growing up, except that most assuredly the “Grace of God was upon Him”. He grew in a hardworking, honest and loving family, a family believing in the truth and love of God the Father. We know that it is written in John 1:1, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God”. Verse 3 reads, “In Him was life; and the life was the light of men”. And then in verse 14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth”. Verse 17b, tells us, “Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ”. And we are given in John 10:30, “I and my Father are One”. The reality of Christmas is an honest, truthful, simple Spirit of God understanding that the Gift of Life has been given to all the “whosoever’s” of this world. Yet man has disguised it with his desire of what he wants it to be. In a way to sidestep the real understanding of the ‘True Gift’. Yet, many do not, and we do recognize and “Real Eyes”, that, “The child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the Grace of God was upon Him”. That He is truly “Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace”, and to all who accept the Gift of Life, His is Savior, Lord, Master and Friend…forever and everlasting, moment by moment, day by day, until the day of our Redemption: our Coming Home.
