And the love-hate relationship with iTunes continues. Quick backstory while I watch Denver blow it in the second half... Got some iTunes gift cards for my birthday. For EDM, this is no good. So, I tried to make the best of it with the limited variety. Recorded live and then attempted to master the mix; compression, leveling and eq adjusting...really no clue what Im doing, just a bunch of buzz words running through my head! Ok, I did attempt to do all of things, so at this point Im happy with the result and post to soundcloud, my blog and the feeds burner(happens automatically). After like 30 hours iTunes still hasnt pick up the feed and soundcloud just PMd me informing me it deleted my upload for DRM reasons. Ugh. Never have this issue with Beatport tracks.. Lesson learned. Oddly, iTunes just picked up the new track, so I guess theyre ok with the material. Apparently, I need a DRM lawyer or something to help me understand whats getting caught. I mean, there are free apps in Google, Amazon and probably iTunes for ring tones where you can find the entire song for free, but I mix multiple tracks together to make some new and I get blocked. At least I can say my music collection is 100% paid for......is yours? ( not gonna soapbox here) Ok, so if your not following my podcast in iTunes, you SHOULD. You can also follow my podcast feed...
