And the maize-field grew and ripened, Till it stood in the splendor; Of its garments green and yellow. -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow As a farmer there are several things about life that you will never fully understand until youve been there. Ephesians 2:4-10 But God is rich in mercy, and he loved us very much. We were spiritually dead because of all we had done against him. But he gave us new life together with Christ. You have been saved by God’s grace. Yes, it is because we are a part of Christ Jesus that God raised us from death and seated us together with him in the heavenly places. God did this so that his kindness to us who belong to Christ Jesus would clearly show for all time to come the amazing richness of his grace. I mean that you have been saved by grace because you believed. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God. You are not saved by the things you have done, so there is nothing to boast about. God has made us what we are. In Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the good things he had already planned for us to do. One big thing about being a farmer is that there is always work to do. Animals to feed crops to tend grain to store cows to milk, these are just a few. However one of those things that you will never understand until youve done it is that no matter how hard you work or how much money you spend on it God is the one who controls it. You can have the best of everything and crops still not make and animals die no matter what we do. Just like no amount of work or money can make certain our farm is successful, no amount of work or money can get us into Heaven. It say that we are saved by grace. Grace is given it cant be made or bought. So how do we get it? We have to have Faith In God. Back in the old days figs were a valuable item. The vitamins this fruit had kept folks alive. We need a F. I. G now more than ever. For us to have a fruitful life and a Heavenly home you cant build it or buy it but you can gather and grow what you need and thats as simple as FIG.
