And the survey says...175,000 Jobs were created last month...slightly higher than expectations of 163,000. Bonds got crushed on the surprise news and prices are attempting to hold onto support at the 200-day Moving Average. Also within the upbeat report were upside revisions to December and January adding 25,000 more job creations than were previously report. The Unemployment Rate ticked up to 6.7% from 6.6%, signaling that more people entered the labor market in search for jobs. Rounding out the report, average hourly earnings ticked up by 0.4% from 0.2% and are up 2.2% over the past year...the 0.4% was a huge increase and could portend stronger Jobs numbers going forward. The Labor Participation Rate remained at 63.0%. The U6 number, which measures the total unemployed, plus all persons marginally attached to the labor force, plus total employed part time for economic reasons, fell to 13.1% from 13.5% and is down from the 14.9% recorded in February of 2013.
