And then......The rather blustery day, turned into, a rather blustery night :( At 3:05 a.m. to be exact. How do i know this? Because Linda and i had a NEW experience last night! My Daughter and her Hubby went out to celebrate her 28th Birthday and asked if this time wed like to come over to THEIR house to babysit Evelyn. SURE! That will be FUN! we said. All was well until bed time, but then the young Princess refused to go beddy by. Apparently, the Twos have arrived. After 3 tries and much hollering and tears we said, OK THEN PRINCESS, you can sleep on the couch (or under the kitchen table), or ANYWHERE YOU WANT, if you will only GO TO SLEEP. Mum Mum then compounded the problem by staying out until bar closing and arriving home at 3:00 a.m. And that, Dear Reader, is how we know that the snow started at 3:00 a.m., as THAT is when we walked home :) I should put in here that Willie Nelson was correct when he wrote, The Night life, aint no good life, but its my life. Linda and I are no strangers to the wee hours and for 30+ years it was not unusual for me to arrive home from playing gigs, as the sun came up. But these days if were up at 3:00 a.m. its normally because were ready for coffee. GOOD JOB, to Son In Law Mike! Happy head ache to my Carisa! BUT, let the word go forth from this place and time, that the torch has been passed to a NEW generation of Grandparents, who now realize, that sometimes its very nice to be able to say, GOOD NIGHT! Were going HOME :)
