And then theres this... Rafael Mendez. No overdubs, folks. Thats circular breathing and SINGLE TONGUING. Yes, it can be done. Mendez had an incredibly fast single tongue, and could easily single 16th notes at speeds up around 144 BPM. The K part of double tonguing is what seals off the mouth from the throat for circular breathing, so were left with a single tongue as the only way. Sergei Nakariakov does it, too. Seems like everybody else slurs it. Thats okay! Its nearly impossible play the darn thing either way!
