And they shall see the Son of Man, coming in a cloud with great glory! … the final culmination, the ultimate consummation … the King of Glory will come … He will bring an end to the dismal dismay … He will cause wars to cease and will break the bow in sunder ... He will usurp the authority of the wicked and reign with righteousness. This is the hope of the ages! Well that sounds pretty good … actually pretty damn good! But it does very little to relieve the tension of our right now reality. Heaven is good, but we need some (present) help to navigate through the hell right here, and right now on earth! Jesus, were really not all that interested in heaven today! I’m just saying!
