And they think their responsibility is over- We will assist them (police) in any way we can. It is also our policy to immediately suspend a drivers account following allegations of a serious incident, which we have done (Uber Spokesperson). I am sure our government and the Delhi Police under the Home Ministry must be feeling extremely humbled by this statement from Uber. The company has been functioning in Delhi and several other cities flouting every norm of safety. The police which was overactive in stopping our protests and thrashing us today does not feel guilty at all in letting this company function and violate law of the land. Speak up against the free hand given to profiteering agencies at the cost of the life and safety of people of our country. The BJP government must tell us with whom it stands- the people of the country or profiteering companies and agencies. And yes, there is indeed a clash of interest between the two as is clear from the incident of rape.
