And they will have no one else to blame, but they will. The party - TopicsExpress

And they will have no one else to blame, but they will. The party of stupid rolls on. They let the tea party lunatics in. Robert Reich House Republicans have just signed a suicide pact. They agreed yesterday on a plan to use the threat of a government shutdown as leverage to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Boehner caved in to his right-wing fanatics and agreed to attach the repeal to a bill to keep the government funded past Sept. 30. There’s no way the Senate will go along – which means the government will run out of money to keep federal workers on the job and provide basic services as of October 1st. I was in Bill Clinton’s cabinet when Newt Gingrich and his earlier band of extremists pulled this stunt the first time. It cost Republicans the White House in 1996 and ended Gingrich’s reign. The American public doesn’t want politicians using the government of the United States as a pawn to get what they want. The Affordable Care Act was duly enacted by both houses of Congress and signed by the President. The Supreme Court upheld its constitutionality. A shutdown over repealing it will cost Republicans the House in 2014. Mark my words.
